For a real shocker check out some cockney rhyming slang. It’s positively filthy.

LOL

No thanks I can hardly handle the crap that is throw ed out in the movies I watch on Lifetime channel.

Why is it Hollyweird feels like they need to show the sex to get their point across.

Years ago just sleeping in the same bedroom told people that the couple might be doing the dirty.

Because:

A)Most Hollywood writers/directors don’t know how to handle sex in a story.

B)Many men will sit through the most hideous crap if they believe there’s a chance the lead actress will take her shirt off.

All cultures are equal! Kids must be taught not to judge.

If you try to teach your kids otherwise, you will be arrested for a hate crime.

It will go easier for you if you report to your reeducation camp immediately.

I also heard some political commentator use “Mack Daddy” the other day. I had no idea that’s what it meant.

I can assure you that she did ask and there was some prior discussion in her class about the use of black slang.

I accept your assurance, and my apologies for being so suspicious.

There’s actually much less sexual content in films now than there was in the 1970s.

You may be right about the 70’s as I do not watch many movies in todays theaters where suckers have to pay $10.00 for a seat, $25.00 for a bucket of popcorn, $12.50 for a coke and $6.00 for a candy bar while listening to conversations right when the part gets good.

I do however watch TCM, AMC and sometimes On Demand.

Over at the neighbors for a visit and their daughter Tina aged 13 was watching a movie on TV with that Hollywood shoplifting thief Winona Ryder playing a mentally ill patient.

Every other word was fluck this or fluck that.

Finally my neighbor saw that my wife was uncomfortable hearing the filthy language and made the child go to her room to finish watching the movie.

I would have preferred that the daughter turn off the movie and watch something more age appropriate.

These same neighbors are discussing buying her birth control pills because they think she is having sex after finding a condom in her pants pocket.

Undisciplined movie making in the 1970s, survey-driven movie making in he 2000s.

I came from a culture where most of the males used filthy language. As a female, I felt cheapened by it.

That was one of the things that I admired about American men. The ones that I met were complete gentlemen and wouldn't dream of using gutter language. That was 50 years ago, and have times ever changed!

One of the current terms that is gaining in popularity is 'Pi$$ed off'. I heard a Senator use it the other day and I was appalled.

It really is the dumbing down of America!

Even your grandmother today will say “That really sucks.” This expression came from, in the 1970s, the insult “You* suck [rooster]!” (*Often used in the third person, referencing someone’s maternal parent.)
