Watching Hussein's Speech Tonight: I Am Almost Persuaded To Work For McCain
Fox News ^ | 5/20/08 | Recovering_Democrat

Posted on 05/20/2008 7:42:41 PM PDT by Recovering_Democrat

I just turned on the TV and saw the Obamanation and his speech.

Folks, chills are going up my spine, and my stomach is turning. This guy poses a danger to our future and my child's future. He wants to force the productive in society to turn over their energies to the lazy. He wants to suck up to the nations that sponsor terrorism. He is sickening, and, I have to say...worse than the Clintons.

I had to turn it off.

I have been among those who have ripped into John McCain, and GOD knows I have big time differences with him and his smarmy ways. Seeing the Cult of Hussein tonight, though, puts things in a different light.

What to do? I will think and pray on it. I do appreciate your input, though, fellow FREEPers.

Yehp, last winter I made up my mind that McCain was the only one who could win it for us and we had to win. So I decided I would hold my nose and vote for him. But, when Super Tuesday rolled around I just could not do it and stayed home. I will not vote for him because I live in a noncompetitive state. I would vote for him if he needed me, however.

On the one hand the GOP needs to change and defeat would serve it right and hopefully it would be able to use being out of office as well as it did when Carter was in office. But, then again we are looking at three SCOTUS openings in the next term.

...and not voting would be in effect voting for a Stalinist.

Post of the Day! Please consider this truth very carefully.

McCains Amnesty plan sells out America.

McCains cap and trade plan sells out America.

McCain embracing the global warming scam sells out America.

Let the RINO’s suffer their fate, whatever it may be. Of course McCain supporters will attempt to create fear in conservatives if they think we will vote for him.

I say, trust in your God, hold firm to your principals.

If McCain wants our votes let him come to us man to man, face to face.

As it stands now I will not cast a vote for McCain.

Sociialism is the cancer eating our country, McCain is part of that cancer.

Screw McCain.

Obambi is a throat slitting marxist. McCain is a backstabbing socialist. I guess it just depends on where you want your entry wound to be.

So you would then vote for Obamination? or stay home?

How the h*ll do you reach such an erroneous assumption from my posts that don't mention either of those choices?

I wonder if the victims of the 9/11 and their families would call that “short term” damage? McCain for all his shortcomings will defend this country amid Islamic terrorism, Obama will not and will in fact encourage it.

He said in that speech, as he has said before, that the war in Iraq has not made us safer. How did he come to that conclusion? From the piles of dead bodies of terrorists that would otherwise be busy working to kill us?

I have been both critical of McCain and the approach we have taken in Iraq. I have stated over and over again that I believe in projecting our military power punitively, not through nation building. To believe that the war in Iraq has not made us ANY safer however, is ludicrous. I just can’t believe our choices have come down to this. It would have been a good time to nominate someone like Hunter or Tancredo because Obama and Hillary are both weak.

Instead, the Democrats have this one in the bag. Either a Democrat is the next President and they win. Or, McCain is the next President, in which case they still win. It’s just a matter of degree of how much they win this time.

I vote for an electable conservative, okay? That is WHAT is going to happen when I go into the booth. I won’t be voting some third party throwaway vote, because that is the same damn thing as giving a vote to the Cult of Hussein.

If you have anything constructive to say, please say it. That is why I started the thread. I am almost persuaded to work for a man whom I disagree with VISCERALLY on some vital issues. But the alternative, this CoH, is very very frightening to me—especially after witnessing just a few minutes of this guy’s speech on TV.

I felt like I was watching der Fuhrer...

So why don’t you clarify your post if you don’t want it misconstrued?

The DUMBOCRATS are smart. They won’t be dumb enough to let bad things happen when in office. They will strike a deal with Ahmedenijad to lay low during his term. :-)

Nothing can change my mind against McPain - Period.

McCain is my nighmare, but Hussian is my psychotic hallucination.

I will vote for McCain and if need be I will work minimally for him. I will not condem my children to the kind of leftist oligarchy that Hussian will put together on the Supreme Court.

This is from a Duncan Hunter fan!

I don’t know what’s worse, BHO’s “brilliance” or his sycophants lapping it up in the audience.

Forget it, I’m not working for McCain. The only way I would do so is if I lived in a battleground state.

I saw McCain tonight responding to some of BHO’s insane ideas and I have to say, I was pretty impressed with him. And I haven’t been up to this point, with his stand on Gitmo, amnesty, etc. Add that to his recent speech on Supreme Court justices and strict constructionists.

I am with you. I disagree with McCain on many issues. But I believe he does love this country and that is why I am voting for McCain. No way is my vote going to put this liberal America-hating, idiot in the White House. Nothing can keep me from the voting booth. Not McCain/Feingold, McCain/Liberman, not even McCain and his Amnesty atrocities. I will not turn this country to Obama and his ilk. Say what you will; I will not do it.

The dems may be sly and crafty but they are weak and appeasers. Islamic extremists do not respect weakness and they can smell the stink off dems in that regard. I believe whatever deals the dems may think they can strike will come back to kick them in the a$$ tenfold. Unfortunately it will be the rest of us who will suffer for it.

I vote for an electable conservative, okay?

Then why are you considering a socialist like McCain?

I am almost persuaded to work for a man whom I disagree with VISCERALLY on some vital issues.

Then you will be working for a candidate who actively sought out the socialist Democrats in 2001 when he was considering becoming a member of that party. You will be supporting a man who was considered by socialist John Kerry to be a potential VP running mate in 2004. You will be supporting someone who has been funded by communist billionaire George Soros. You will be aiding a candidate who has sponsored bills that restrict free speech (McCain-Feingold), the fallacy of human induced global warming(Lieberman-McCain Stewardship Climate Act), amnesty for illegal aliens(McCain-Kennedy)all with staunch socialists. This doesn't include McCain scheduled to speak to the illegal alien supporting group La Raza who wants the western part of the U.S. to be part of Mexico, stated he is against drilling in ANWR and admonished his own party by defending Marxist Obama because the North Carolina GOP ran an ad against Obama.

But the alternative, this CoH, is very very frightening to me—especially after witnessing just a few minutes of this guy’s speech on TV.

You should be frightened of all three socialists. All will be a disaster for the country.
