Thanks Eyedigress. I think it worked this round.
Now you’ve got it. HTML commands are “Started” with < and “ended” with >. Make a copy of the basics and your off and running. :^)
I can’t believe I did it!!!lol.... Thanks again!

Start playing with the href command and you can customize the name of that link.
How's this:
I figured out what I was doing wrong. I had jotted down the instructions for posting an image from page one of this thread. Unfortunately, I wrote "scr" instead of "src". So every time I followed my notes, I got it wrong. Duh. I've never been identified as being dyslexic, but maybe...
Thanks again for your help the other night! Sorry I was so hopeless! I'm so excited to be able to "play with the big kids" now!!
The first rule of a “programmer” is check every character. All spaces, dots and the like. Language in the computer world leaves no room for error. Good Luck. :^)
Also keep in mind you are “hot-linking”, sometimes a pic is protected against this.
Maybe that was the problem. The image showed up in my repsonse “preview” and then I checked—it was indeed posted to the thread. So I was super-surprised to notice that it had disappeared later! Thanks for the info about pictures being protected. That makes sense. I’ll keep playing and see if I can find images that “stick.”
how do I post my own picture from my computer to a post?
You have to upload your pictures to a webhost that allows ‘linking’. The best free one is Photo bucket. Open an account and upload your pictures and post away!
Good luck.
Thanks.

You need to open a photo-bucket account. It’s free. Upload your pic to there then link to it on your post.
