Im just kind of wondering...
When does it become necessary to split up?
In any relationship, sometimes things get to the point that there are irreconcilable differences. The people involved just cant get along any longer and are making each others lives miserable. They have nothing in common, do not agree on anything and do not care what the other thinks. At that point I think its best to end the unhealthy relationship and go about forming new ones.
Im not talking about the relationship between two people, Im talking about the abusive relationship between "conservatives" and "liberals" or otherwise those people who value individual freedom and those who value being a slave to the socialist collective.
This relationship cannot continue. We have nothing in common, we agree on nothing, and we simply don't want/care to hear what the other says. There is no trust and there is no common ground. All thats left are two "people" who cant stand each other trying to tell the other how to live.
My thought on this is that we would all be better off if we just went our own way. This union of states could dissolve their "relationship" and reform new ones based on common interests. But how realistic is that? Can it be done in a civil manner? or will force be required?
Personally, I think its time to talk about this. Its time to seriously look into what it would take to make this happen. We just cant continue to stay in this abusive relationship any longer.
Honestly, I don't care how it gets done and I don't care where I have to move to and I don't really care that Ill have to start over. I just cant stand living with these people any longer.
I dont want to follow their rules or pray to their gods. I dont want to be subject to their social engineering. Im just sick of being the D cell battery that keeps the socialist machine running. Me and the money I earn are NOT a resource for anyone to use as they see fit.
=(
Im at that point. I just want to move on and I guess I was wondering if anyone else had any insight or reasoning as to what could be done.
The US of A, still the last best hope for humanity, else I would’ve moved out already!
However, if you consider their ideas or actions a threat, then consider them an enemy and seek to undermine their power.

Didn’t y’all kinda try that once before, in the mid-1800’s? How did that work out for you?
I’m speculating that this time ‘round, with modern military equipment and doctrines, it would be a whole lot messier.
Then move. Who's stopping you?
I suggest this: Keep your head down, keep working, take care of your family and friends and trust in God. All will be well. Also this: Keep voting.
Oh.. I dont know..
My wife takes most of my money and tells me what to do all teh time...
Kinda feels like a marrige. ;-)
Then I'd like to sit back and gloat over the disparate economies and cultural/social health of each entity.
I know it would kinda be like the results of the paths embarked on by East and West Germany after the war.....prosperity for one and meltdown for the other.

I DO NOT have “liberal friends” PERIOD. Maybe liberal relatives (not many, but some yellow dog democrats), liberal co-workers or acquaintances. BUT NO LIBERAL FRIENDS.
People who vote democratic and support governmental control of everything, abortion on demand, flag burning, gay marriage, open borders, the UN, etc. etc. simply do not share my values and therefore cannot be my friends.
I am all for your proposed separation. In fact, I have been actively separate from liberals for many years.
Dr. Laura for president?
Obama is using the Hugo Chavez model for gaining power. He is appealing to the many “have nots” to vote him in as President, and he will pay them back by giving them the wealth of the “haves.” It will work...for a while...until the haves quit producing the wealth and the wheels fall off the economy.
It is no accident that Venezuela’s oil production has fallen every year since Chavez was elected. Those with their hands on the levers of production can slow it down and there is absolutely nothing the government hacks can do about it except jail some and threaten all.
When the goodies stop flowing completely, the unwashed get disillusioned and riot in the streets. Then the dictator beats a hasty retreat to some haven with millions of dollars he has stashed in Swiss accounts while he had the chance. We have interesting times ahead....
You could be like all those hollywood types that complain and say they are going to move...but don’t.
That is exactly what Jefferson Davis did. States Rights were the issue, not what everybody has been tought.

Lol... whois “yall”? I live in Wisconsin! I assume your referencing the civil war? Meh... I dont really see what that has to do with what Im talking about. Unless you feel the socialists will not let their cattle go without a fight?

Especially considering it is boiling down to urban hellhole vs the rest of the nation.
No.. Ive thought about it for a while now. I would go.
The Hollywood people you reference don’t need to go anywhere... They are already where they want to be and its just feels more like home every day for them.
Atlas Shrugged was 5 times too long. But besides that, you can’t mandate a “conservative country”.
As an exampl, Israel was created to be both Jewish and a democracy. It has proven to be a major problem. They can’t annex the West Bank and Gaza because doing so as a democracy would mean giving millions of muslim arabs the vote and then they would cease to be a Jewish country. If they mandate that only jews count, they cease to be a democracy.
Your conservative utopia could be either a democracy or conservative, but not both. Inevitably some would be more conservative than others. Conservatives believe in democracy and small government and freedom of speach and freedom of the press. How long would it be before you would have to decide to either become a conservative dictatorship (an oxymoron)or let the people decide? If you let the people decide, your new country, if you are VERY lucky, would closely resemble the grand ol’ USA
