R. Kelly has been found not guilty of child pornography on accusations that he appeared on a videotape having sex with a girl as young as 13.
The jury read the verdict shortly after 2 p.m. They found the R&B superstar not guilty of all 14 counts.
Kelly dabbed at his face with a handkerchief and hugged each of his four attorneys after the verdict was read.
The verdict brought to an end a criminal case that has been pending for six years. Kelly had argued from the beginning that he was not the man on the video, and the alleged victim said she was not the one who appeared either.

Was anybody in the whole world dumb enough to think this guy would ever be convicted?
To: Perdogg
So both the accused AND the alleged “victim” deny that it is them on the video yet the DA proceeds with the case?
And four relatives say it they recognized the “victim” and three didn’t? No wonder the jury voted to acquit. That is messed up.

So both the accused AND the alleged victim deny that it is them on the video yet the DA proceeds with the case? The prosecution was aware of the...um...witne$$ tampering that went on, but thought that the common sense of a watching the tape would convince the jury. I guess it didn't work.

Disgusting. I read the jury *did* believe he was on the tape but because the victim didn't testify they acquitted. I was on a jury where the victim did not testify and the judge instructed us not to read anything into that. In fact, asking whether we could set aside any question about that was part of jury selection.
This was another case of celebrity "justice." I imagine this will only embolden his "recreation" with young girls.

R now believes he can 'soar, see me running thru that open door, think about it every night and day...spread my wings and fly away...'
(The R Kelly song I could think of...well that I could post). I don't find this verdict surprising at all...

Who is going to be the first reporter to ask Barack Obama’s opinion on this verdict?
