Isn't it interesting how everyone automatically assumes that this writer's OPINION is true? How do we know that it isn't someone who is jealous of Miley and wants to derail her career?

I think Miley got such negative feedback from the Vanity Fair photos, that she won't do anything to rock the boat for a few more years. But at some point, she WILL be an adult, and will want to do more adult roles. I hope she won't be forced by her old fans to stay in juvenile roles so long that she begins to look silly. Even Hayley Mills started doing roles that were more grown up as she moved into her late teens and early adulthood, and it seemed to be a seamless move for her.

So, it begins. Very few young girls in Hollywierd resist the bleating by Industry Bigs that, in order to transition to adulthood, they have to descend into sleaze and exploitive sexuality.

Cyrus is the richest girl in the world and, until recently, had built up a lot of good will with her fans and established a reputation as a hard worker on the set. By going for the Vanity Fair shoot in the first place, Miley and her family proved that they were simply addicted to fame. She had no need for additional publicity, yet she’s out there grubbing for even more magazine covers and photoshoots.

The Hollywierd perverts, of course, are always gunning to bring down the “sweet” and “innocent” ones. They can’t wait to “prove” that “everyone” is promiscuous and sleazy and, moreover, SHOULD be that way.

They can’t wait to stick it in the eye of the middle-class girls and their moms who though this one (Miley) would be different (i.e., not sleazy). They love the idea that decent moms spent hard-earned money buying posters and bracelets and HM backpacks now have to go “ewwwwww, never mind.”

The industry is hellbent on sexualizing children every chance they get, and the more “clean cut and innocent” the child’s reputation, the better.

It’s all about sticking it to the middle class values folks, the ones who were gullible enough to invest their hard-earned money and allow their daughters’ adulation to go to great heights on the theory that THIS girl, Miley Cyrus, would be “different.”

The fact is that the only way MC would be “different” (i.e., from Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, all those who came before and will follow), is (1) she really was different (i.e., she personally and strongly rejected the culture of promiscuity and exploitive sexuality), AND (**NOTE: #(1) is NOT-—repeat NOT-—enough), (2) she and her family have the strength of character and insight to REJECT and KEEP REJECTING the path the entire industry says she must take in order to “transition” from child star to adult star.

Even if she was #(1), it’s clear she and her family are not #(2). So its Spears redux all over again.

As for why “they” want to sexualize children: because they’re perverts who believe that there should be NO legal or societal limits whatsoever on sexual conduct.

Also continually taking child stars, who have legions of young fans who are watching them, and using them to bash what they see as “middle class sexual mores” is perfect! Just like Bubba forced parents to explain oral sex to their children, every time a child star demonstrates that “growing up” means engaging in exploitive sexuality, that’s another win for perversion and the Rats.

I agree.

The Industry Bigs pound the line that “cute innocence” isn’t where pop stardom is at . . . until the formerly cute and innocent child star flames out and they . . . move on to the next cute and innocent child star.

It’s not so much about money, but about revenge. What a great way to (their point of view) show those “hypocritical” middle class moms who bought billions of HM crappola for their daughters that they were actually engaging in Britney Spears worship-—ha ha ha. Yes, it’s all about sticking it to the parents and girls who will be appalled by the sleazy turn-—then, the industry hopes, become accepting of it as “normal.”

You are exactly right, though, and it is said every time: there are people who make it without becoming overly or overtly sleazy. Kelly Clarkson comes to mind, for one. At least for now.

I think the lesson is don’t get too involved in being fangirly over ANYONE, because they are all likely to fall into the celebrity traps to some extent and that should be factored in up front. Like someone’s music, okay. But it’s just dumb to be a fan because you think someone is “different” from all the other Hollywierders.

She has had enormous success being a clean cut innocent girl. I can’t believe she wants to be pimped out. She is headed down the same path of Britney Spears.

It's worked out pretty well for Anne Hathaway....

http://www.bullz-eye.com/movies/interviews/2008/john_cusack.htmMaking her debut in liberal wrist-slitting films is Hillary Duff, one of the many teen princesses manufactured by the Disney empire, who seems to be trying to earn some sort of credibility by screeching about politics.

“We’re trying to raise awareness with it. It is funny and it is bizarre and a little disturbing,” the former Lizzie McGuire told Reuters. “But really at the end of the day it’s looking at what (our country is) doing, and it’s not right.”

Yes, she did.

I saw Pretty Baby when it first came out & I remember thinking I didn’t understand what all the fuss was about. Then, I rented it two years ago & watched it again. Now, I can’t see how the movie was ever released - it was really, really close to child porn.

The main reason why I rented it was because in one scene, you could see the microphone above a table where the actors were sitting during one scene. I remember watching the thing moving back and forth depending upon who was talking. I couldn’t believe the film editor had made such a mistake as it was really obvious.

So, i rented the movie to see if someone had finally seen the mike and removed it. (The answer was, Yes. the mike was gone on the video release LOL)
