Drudge is pimping Obama's 9 point national lead.
But I never see Drudge posting about the latest STATE polls.
McCain edges past Obama in Colorado Poll
McCain clobbers Obama in AOL straw poll
In New Mexico, Obama goes from a 9 point lead.. to an 8 point lead.. and now it's down to 5 points.
Obama trip helps McCain. Polls tighten.
McCain now ahead in four key battleground states
Military Veterans favor McCain 56 to 37 percent
McCain gains ground in Minnesota
I heard Drudge may be doing this to gain favor with Obama so he can get scoops if Obama gets elected.
You can contact Drudge through his hot tips form on the Drudge Report page.
Don’t click on Drudge Report and don’t watch Fox News, that’s easy. They are all turning out for Barry Hussein Obama.
You can also instant message him
This from the Wikipedia article on Drudge:
“Drudge’s critics, like gay American writer and national talk radio host Michelangelo Signorile,[26][27] point to the allegations of homosexuality levelled at Drudge himself by David Brock of Media Matters in his memoir Blinded by the Right,[28][29] and by columnist Jeannette Walls in her book Dish.[30][31][32][33] However, Drudge denied Walls’s claim that he is gay, telling the Miami New Times in 2001 that “I go to straight bars, I go to gay bars. [Walls] never said there was sex; she said there was dating. She never had enough to go that far.”[34]”
Draw your own inferences.
I always take everything from Media Matters with a grain of salt..
But.. at the same time.. the allegation has been made.
Well, there you have it. He is a homosexual by own admission.
When you go on record to say that you visit gay bars that’s more confirmation than bunch of rumors on the internet.
And yes, Drudge is supporting Obama.

Good point. Many of the hits Drudge gets are from MSM reporters looking for a story.
I haven’t visited his site in months. Why would I? I get teh same thing here, but with reasonable commentary?
I don't go to Drudge as much as I used to but ya got to admit, he boosted FR to great heights when he listed FR on his page....I think he also used to post here.....

Credit given where credit is due.
Drudge has done some great work over the years.
But IMO he has lost his way.
LET’S FLOOD THE ‘NEWS TIP’ BOX WITH ‘GET OUT OF THE TANK FOR OBAMA. DO YOUR JOB. INVESTIGATE THIS MAN!
http://www.theobamafile.com/
I posted months ago on here that Drudge was in the tank for Obama and some people criticized me for it.
He obliterated Hilary Clinton daily and downlowed every negative Obama story including the Reverend Wright controversy. Almost every picture of Obama is glowing and favorable as are the stories he links about him.
He’s doing the same now to McCain.
bttt
Are you saying that Drudge isn’t in the tank? Of course he is... Throughout the campaign, he’s been fawning over H, like a high school swoon. It’s disgusting, and blatant
That is quite a scary sentiment.
I in no way support Obama.
If you STILL think the premise is retarded... check out what just went up on Drudge... He could have the shock poll as the lead story... but NOOOOOOO... He has a huge awful pic of McCain, saying “Wear Sunscreen”... It’s absolutely blatant... As soon as McCain has an opportunity to pick up some momentum, this sKum tried to knock him back down.
Drudge's Obama Crush
One of the theories for how Obama wins the general is that he blows up (or keeps blowing up) into a massive pop-cultural/marketing phenomenon that completely drowns out anything the McCain campaign says or does. The Nike of politics probably beats some old white guy most days of the week. Particularly when the old white guy's party faces historically low levels of popularity.
If you're banking on this scenario--and there are probably worse ways to win an election--then you have to be encouraged by the piece Jonathan Martin and Ben Smith have in today's Politico. It's mainly about Matt Drudge's apparent affinity for Obama and his tepidness toward McCain. But the most interesting part has to do with the reason Drudge might favor Obama. Jonathan and Ben report that:
Others who know Drudge say Obama benefits from the sites bias for a good story, and above all for the Next Big Thing.
I think he is fatigued by Clinton, I think he is invigorated by Obama, said one person who knows Drudge. He would say that the Obama story is new. If youre somebody who does what he does, you get really sick of the same stories.
Hes interested in what brings people to the site and Obama is a great box office, said Jim Dyke, the communications director for the Republican National Committee in 2004. Asked if McCain could fix his Drudge problem, Dyke replied, I dont think there is very much you can do. ...
Drudge-watchers noted that his traffic is increasingly international, bringing him an audience for whom a young charismatic and cosmopolitan Democrat who defies ethnicity is a fascination unlike his opponent, just another white Republican male.
Drudge, who in keeping up his Salinger-like air of mystery declined to comment for this story, was quick to tout his transnational appeal in a rare interview with the British Sky News late last year.
Its become sort of an international clearing ground of news not just American news, not just British news, not just European news anywhere news, he said. This to me is the future, no boundaries.
If you take Drudge as a leading indicator, the Obama pop-cultural-phenomenon strategy seems to be on track. (Granted, foreigners don't vote. But if Obama is becoming an international phenomenon, the same is probably happening in this country to some extent.)

Agreed.
This thread is extremely timely considering the ridiculous photo he just headlined his website of today of McCain entitled WEAR SUNSCREEN.
I bet this is the real reason Drudge left his radio show.
