PORT ANGELES, Wash. - An athletic shoe containing bones and flesh has been found on a Washington state beach and authorities are investigating whether it may be linked to a series of human feet found in shoes along the coast of British Columbia.

I hate to be arch, but some heel out there sure is stepping on toes. I wonder what his ankle is? He certainly isn’t instep with civilized society. Something is definitely afoot.

Figured it most likely to have been part of a bridge jumper. But why did it seem cut off neatly at the top of the ankle high sock?
Leg bones came out, but putrid flesh and mud, still filling that ankle portion? Didn't examine it closely enough to find out. It got pitched forthwith, by another.
This was back when one could still legally trammel net halibut. The halibut are thick there (outside the Gate, not necessarily near Mile Light...) right about this time of year.

Strange indeed. We have more than our share of serial killers here in the Northwest. So far, I believe all of the feet found have been right and only one was left.
