LOL! I knew a guy who was stationed on Ascension Island for a while, and there was a lady there who was known as the "Bendix Queen" because she worked for the Bendix Co. The guys on the island were gaga over her -- they had made her the homecoming queen, and she never lacked for male companionship... and my friend couldn't understand it. He said when he got there he saw this very unattractive lady -- "flabby, bad skin, and she had moss on her teeth...."

By the third month of his tour, he said she wasn't so bad ... and after 6 months she was beautiful.
