That is awful. I just had a baby and I am 45. The baby is healthy. Congratulations, even though you didn't plan to have one so late. Good luck the little one. They are a real gift.
My wife was 32 when we decided to have one, and the DR told us to get tests for Downs. Our daughter is also healthy and just graduated college.
We had a neighbor when we lived in Austin, and she got pregnant at age 43. DR told her the same thing. Her daughter was also OK.

Are they implying that the Inuit people look like they have Down’s Syndrome? The Inuit would be intrigued by that, I’m sure.
It's IMMENSELY RACIST to imply that, and not surprising coming from the ultra-liberals. A hundred years ago people used to call Down Syndrome babies "Mongoloid" because they looked vaguely East Asian. Inuits obviously are closely related to Northeast Asians. I hope the Asian Americans make hay over this and shoot those bastards down. Most Asian Americans are conservative anyway.
