Well, the night came and Sarah was up to the task. As I have slept on it now, I wonder just what transpired last night.

The media and pundits were generally behaved and declared an evening cease fire of sorts. I am sure they will be back at it again.

But what was the night about for us voters? What has been sinking in for me since her announcement as VP candidate is that Sarah is "us". She is real and she is authentic. She is someone you could have talked to at the mall. In that, she doesn't fit the establishment pick. The bottom line is that she didn't aspire to the position but does not see that as a qualification for the job.

She hasn't conducted her life with a view to the White House and in doing so has conducted her life just like us. She is a hockey mom with a real American family and doesn't apologize for it. She is a real mom who has not let that fact "disqualify" her from public office.

For me, this is Sara Palin's "Legally Mom" moment! :)

I remember standing in a very long line for over 2 hours in Arlington TX to vote for Reagan in 1980 and this was after driving 6 hours round trip to take my very Republican grandmother to vote since she didn’t drive and my grandfather had recently passed away. I can only hope it is true and a GIANT and HUGE segment of Americans have been awakened and will turn out on November 4th and I will gladly stand in line however long it takes to pull the McCain-Palin lever~!!!!

I think Governor Palin gave an awesome speech. She fired up everyone who heard her.

She fired me up so much that I haven’t been to bed yet. Spent the whole night and this morning working on a media smack down for Governor Sarah Palin!
