Obama Return to Illinois Senate for One Last Vote

From Jon Martin's blog:

Obama, on the trail in New Mexico, had this to say of McCain:

"And today he accused me of not supporting what the Treasury and the Federal Reserve Bank did with AIG despite no evidence whatsoever that that’s what I had said."

To recap, when I wrote earlier today that Obama supported the bailout, I quickly was instructed by his staff that this was not the case. He just didn't oppose it, I was told.

Now he's so adamant about not opposing the Fed's move that he's complaining about McCain's portrayal.

Where, I wonder, is the line between not opposing and, ya know, supporting.

Barack Obama today voted "Present" on the question of a bailout for the nation's troubled financial system.

"Actually," Obama said as he cast his vote,"I was not for the bailout before I was not against it."

Sorry, this is not the actual headline on Politico...could a mod fix this?

Actual headline:
Obama outraged at being accused of not supporting something he doesn’t support

I do not support the bailouts of any financial houses that deal with third world countries. Let them fall, they are out of our control.

Americans reap no benefits from third world countries, and we should suffer no losses. Let them sink, they are of no use to us. The globalists are trying to slowly destroy America, so that we will not even notice, or know what is going on. “Stealth” is their byword.

It is what he did in the senate, he would pass on voting either nay or nay. That will make for a good president. Hello my name is Obama and I have no opinion. DUH

I do not support any government bailout of the private sector. I support the government protecting the country against enemies, foreign and domestic, and nothing else.

Since the government is doing everything BUT what it was meant to do, why do any of us support it?
