McCain cannot lose "IF" he siezes this opportunity. VANITY

Posted on 09/29/2008 12:35:00 PM PDT by 1Old Pro

1) Bush is a lame duck, McCain must step up and act like President. 2) Start now, more press conferences. 3) START each press conference with the video of the house/senate hearings on FNMA/FRMAC oversight. Tell the press before rolling the tape that they have failed to report how the Democrats were complcit with the failure of oversight of Fannie mae and Freddie Mac. Tell the press that all your press confeences will begin with that tape until they finally report it. 4) Now say, now that we see the fault of this mess is Obama, Pelosi, reid, Frank and reid, we can begin to discuss a solution.

Mock Obama for "calling in" druing this ccrisis, not ready to lead.

McCain can now be the EXPERT ON THE ECONOMY , but only if he siezes this moment and does NOT let the media spin this into blaming the GOP.

This means McCain must immediately GO ON THE OFFENSIVE , and must blame the democrats and stop being Mr. bi-partisan and "sharing blame"

because blame-shifting in the middle of a crisis is the very definition of being “Presidential”

It’s over. The Dems control the media, and the “R’s” will get blamed for crashing the stock market with 100m peeople invested in. Thanks all you hard liners for destroying both our chances in the elections, and our 401k’s.

I’m still trying to figure out why McCain allowed Obama to paint this crisis as the result of deregulation without pointing out the Democrat’s role? Anybody got a clue?

Yes, McCain needs to step it up and take this thing over. Bush is hiding out in the White House wondering if he moves the minute hand around will time go by faster.

House GOP is revolting. House Dems are in disarray. In the Senate they’re smoking cigars in the cloak room ruminating on the stupidity of the mere people and wondering if they’ll have to sell off one of their private jets.

It’s time for McCain to step into the breach and provide some leadership.

The media is blaming McCain, it’s starting to stick.

McCain had better wake up and fight.

How I wish...I just witnessed little Lindsey practically crying with Sheppie that the House MUST find the votes to pass this and save our country...they were both hysterical drama queens.

If he doesn't respond to the partisan attacks and the media assault he'll lose BIG.

Yes, it’s time for McCain to step up to the plate and run for a field goal, or get off the boat!

I guess it is better to find out now that McCain is weak and ineffective against today's DEMs than to be hit with that were he to be President. Still doesn't mean I want Obama as Fuhrer Czar Dictator President.

Im afraid it’s too late. Most people in this country are too stupid to believe anything other than what the media feeds them. This election is lost already. Start looking to 2012. People will REALLY be ready for a change by then. That is IF the world is still intact.

This is a defining moment in history. The stage is set. This is McCain's second crucible.

He can stand up and lead, he can cut through the MSM haze, and people will listen. That man in Hanoi would have - is he still that man?

I agree with you at least in terms of the fact that the entire MSM will go into massive overdrive spinning this... they will not even mention the fact that 94 dems voted against.

I hate to say it, but it’s not looking good.

The MSM is slamming McCain/Palin while placing 0-bam-uh on a pedestal.

I thought McCain would be ahead by now after the first debate, but 0-bam-uh has increased his lead.

Also, the ads in the swing states aren’t effective.

McCain is losing the battle of the ads and needs to come up with something better.

Unless we have an October surprise, McCain is going to lose and a crooked Marxist will be running the country.

Maybe Rezko will sing, but I’m not counting on it.

God help us all.

who needs Daily Kos when you have some of the people here to speak....dang it. With friends like some of you ..who needs enemies?
Get a grip.

From McCain:
“Their partisan attacks were an effort to gain political advantage during a national economic crisis. By doing so, they put at risk the homes, livelihoods and savings of millions of American families,” said the statement, released in the name of senior policy adviser Douglas Holtz-Eakin.

The media knows they can elect Obama in this close race. If McCain doesn’t get the truth out he will lose.
