During debate skit tina/Sarah says (paraphrasing)...for those of you who are playing a drinking game - MAVERICK - then she pretends to take a drink and winks.......too funny!
WHO had the word Maverick for their debate drinking game?
that skit was actually very good. they offended equally.
I saw it (since I’m still celebrating Ohio State’s big win over Wisconsin). I thought it was funny and fair. No where near as funny as their 2000 Gore - Bush skits. Those were just ROFL. Totally funny.

It was pretty good. The present skit about the bailout is great.

HAHAHAHAHAAH the current skit killed on the bailout. The guy playing Barney Frank was hillarious!!!!!!! Then George Soros...LOL
How about going to watch something much better than SNL. Go to the movies and watch “American Carol”. According to Box Office Mojo it only ranked 9th with about 150,000 and $1.2 mil Box office, which is terrible.
The bailout skit was perfect! “George Soros, Owner, Democratic Party”. I can’t believe they attacked the Dems like that!

Is it just me or was the Lawrence Welk handicapped sister skit immediately afterwards a subtle dig at Sarah Palin’s down’s syndrome child?
At thew end “Lawrence Welk” made the comment about her “large forehead” and she had flipper hands...cooking road kill...etc. etc. etc.
Oh well at least they didn’t follow up with Mr.subliminal after that! Maybe I’m overly paranoid.
If it was or wasn’t it was QUITE pathetic, as SNL has become over all quite unwatchable.
The ONLY reason I’m watching now is to see the Palin shots...Christians are knuckle-dragging idiots, etc. First time I’ve watched in years.
These people are going prime-time on Oct. 9th and I think they’re so far off the rails far left now they actually do us a favor!
THERE they go again immeidately after that last skit...”stay tuned for the next time Palin says something embarassing”?

I also felt they were over the top in the debate.Palin’s performance made Tine Fey's mocking look so yesterday , and the attacks on Scranton reminded me of Osama’s speech in SF about bitter Americans
OMG they just did the MOST amazing Pelosi, Frank, GWB skit. Totally ended up skewering the whole democRAT party !!
Nuancy, Frank and GWB in front of the mikes to announce the bailout. Nuancy telling GWB how stupid he is and this crisis is all his fault - blah,blah,blah, and then-
Nuancy brings up people hurt by the crisis - Avg. Joes. Two guys who never worked, drank, did drugs, no credit, dishonorable dishcharges from army, pregnant girlfriends, and THEN the got a house and couldn’t pay.
The next couple were high roller condo flippers making big bucks, but who now couldn’t sell their time shares unless they took a small hit.
THEN George Soros comes on and says he is going to take his dollars to Swiss Francs because he just went short on them.
The kicker was they put up his Name (like you see on the news shows) as George Soros, OWNER - Democrat Party.
The audience reaction was at first laugh laugh, until they got farther into the skit. At the end it was sort of quiet.
Unbelievable.

I generally prefer humor that cuts both ways, and the SNL kit have done so. When it comes to politics, one-sided humor start to sound like a lecture.
yup, they’re so in the tank they make token fun of the dims but look what they did to Bush!
During the Palin/Biden debate...same thing. They made a token effort...even Queen Latifa smiled and kinda winked at Biden’s idiocy...but then again they’re both used to it and immune, always giving it a free pass. Biden was laughed at much like in real life. Pelosi was wide-eyed but again, so what? It’s EXACTLY how she is in real life anyway!
But Palin might as well be special olympics stupid...like they did with Bush.
Anyone that sees this somehow as “fair treatment” politically is off themselves IMO!
joan rivers knows how to mock a bad face job.....the bug eyes was about all they picked up on her......there are more humor possibilities....like her prancing around the room with her boobs leading the way on hooker shoes....she always looks like she will topple over......and break a hip or something....

I saw that. The Barney Frank character was hilarious.
The debate skit was ok, but frankly, it’s like watching a Church Lady skit for the fifth or sixth time. It’s getting a bit tedious. Tina Fey is a little too smug for my taste.
On the other hand, MAD-TV was hilarious tonight with a much more talented crew.
The Pelosi and Barney Frank spoofs were pretty good actually.
That skit was more than most of the public knows about Fannie Mae and the recent crisis.
It even critiques Bush for going to easy on Pelosi and Frank.
That was refreshing.
True, but Kristen Wiig is pretty good. She’s really the underrated one on SNL right now. She was great in Walk Hard and Knocked Up.

They’re really threatened by Palin...they can’t help but keep attacking her, they open up the weekend update with calling her a liar about knowing a lesbian, and earlier Tina Fey (Palin) droned on and on about lesbians in the exact same vain.
