My 7 year old granddaughter came home from school the other day and told her mom that she wanted Obama to be elected to show the country that it's okay for a brown person to be President.

I would repeat the story I heard years ago:
An elderly black man took his grandson to the circus. After the show, hundreds of balloons were released.
Several minutes later, the grandson asked his grandfather why there were no black balloons.
The grandfather replied that the color of the balloon didn't matter. It was what was inside of the balloon that made it rise to the top.

My son came home a couple of weeks ago mad because his science teacher made them write "global warming claims have never been tested with the scientific method" 100 times.
He's getting cupcakes on teacher's appreciation day.
