Oh yeah, I had forgotten about them - thanks for reminding me. I voted for Fred Thompson - my district is overwhelmingly republican but the line to vote Dem was unreal - we walked right up to the table as republican. I wondered then how many of those in line were voting just to screw with the Dem outcome.....

I don't know about that. It looked to me like she saw the writing on the wall, and only raised issues like Obama's link to Ayers as a way of "warning" that the GOP would use it against him.

I think she was being a little too smart by half. She knew she couldn't win, but wanted to set herself up for 2012. She knew that she couldn't completely nuke Obama, because then she'd be accused of destroying the Party and a 2012 campaign would be a non-starter. So, if Obama loses to McCain, she can say to her fellow Dems "see I told you so ... how 'bout I give you another chance (in 2012) to do the best thing and make me your nominee?"

I don’t think it can be Hillary — she still has too much at stake if Obama goes on to win — but it might be Bill.

The Jewish holidays are finally over this week. We’ll see how strongly Bill comes out to campaign for the cracker vote. Or whether he “accidentally” comments to an open mike that electing Obama would be a very dangerous move for America.

If Israel doesn’t do something vis a vis Iran before the election, and should, GOD FORBID, Obama be elected, they are toast. They will have lost their #1 ally and supporter in the world and any attack they might make after that point would be viewed by an Obama administration as “an unprovoked attack,” “unilateralism,” and “unnecessary aggression against a fellow member of the UN.”

Oh, and to keep this thread-related, I hope Hillary and Bill see that if they don’t do what they can to take Obama down, her chances of ever achieving any shot at the presidency are O-V-E-R. He’ll be elected, run the country into the ground, and we won’t elect another Democrat as POTUS for a very long time.
