I checked right away to see if that would be a World Series night. We’ve got to hope for at least a six-game series.

If you don’t watch, his ratings will be down. If this is in primetime, what program will he replace (I don’t watch network TV so have no idea what’s on on Wednesdays at 8 on NBC and CBS.) It usually makes folks mad when their favorite program is replaced, or delayed.

This could be used as a nice little comparison if McCain played his cards right. Find out how much it cost and hammer him with the reason he can afford it is because he broke his promise to take public funds.

Absolutely not - The dirty little secret is the public doesn't care about campaign finance reform...or how much it cost to win an election. McCain is a fool to have supported CFR to begin with....and now his very own knife is being stuck in his chest.

Understand, the public does not care about CFR. They do not care how much money is spent by a guy to win an election (if they decide to vote for THAT guy).

What McCain or more the RNC needs to do is get aggressive. Run our own 15 min Ad the day after....... Fight fire with fire.....Not with whining.....or worse with nothing. Which is where the RNC and McCain have been for the past two weeks on the financial situation. They have not run ads at all directly tying Obama and the DEM congress to the current situation.

and can McCain use the fairness Doctrine to demand a 30 minute rebuttal.

No.

The so-called "Fairness Doctrine" was abolished by a unanimous vote of the Federal Communications Commission in 1987.

Hate to disagree folks, but this IS a big deal. Not only will he get 30 minutes, but the MSM will give him another 5-6 hours of free air time talking about this 30 minute ad.

He is basically trying to close the deal as they say. He will tell you he is not a radical and can be trusted.

I have been saying for weeks, McCain needs to do this NOW. Take that excellent economic speech he gave earlier this week, and do 30 minutes in prime time.

This has got to be stopped. The stock market started dying when Obama got his lead in the polls. A new poll out today said 75% of business leaders are terrified Obama will be president.

Obama’s an idiot. Why spend millions of dollars on a 30-second spot when he gets free commercials disguised as the “Nightly News” every single night on ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN/MSNBC/PBS?

If someone is buying time, I am sure the Networks would be happy to sell McCain time as well. They have absolutely no obligation to do so.

Or, is that a right? These days I cannot seem to get what is a right and responsibility straight.

yep...It's the law. They have to offer McCain the same deal they gave O’Bama.

But McCain would have top pay for it. Cash on the barrelhead. And he’s running out of that.
