Biden’s argument about ‘spreading the wealth’ is that the richest 1% get 21% of the income; he conveniently neglects to mention that the richest 1% PAY 37% of the taxes. Top 5% incomes pay over 53%. Top 50% pays almost 97%. Put another way.....at least half of those 95% of Americans Obama/Biden want to ‘spread the wealth’ around to don’t pay ANY income taxes at all.

I’m glad I’m not the only one.

I just heard on the radio where Obama defended himself by saying to the effect "They called me a socialist because I want to give tax cuts to the middle class rather than the wealthy".

He just admitted that he was a socialist right there in that comment, and we need to run with this like it's a pile of money and there's a group of homeless people behind us.

I'm trying to understand your logic and reasoning. Obama says "They called me a socialist " and you interpret that to mean "He just admitted that he was a socialist".

With convoluted logic like that, no wonder conservatives are accused of being less than truthful. Obama and Biden provide enough "self admissions" to be used against them without having to reach out in the left field.

"We need to make sure that comment is publicized as much as possible so everyone knows he is admitting he is a Socialist."

FFranco, please explain it to me clearly and simply. Maybe I have not had enough coffee yet today.
How can Hussein's statement:"they called me a socialist" be used to prove he is admitting to being a socialist?

I don’t see where Obama admitted being a socialist. He is one of course, but he will never admit to it. He’s also stupid, but not that stupid.

Based on some of the comments I have seen in the last few day's I do not wonder why we are accused of being < intelligent.

Because he’s implying class warfare, a beacon of socialism in his statement. Combined with the “spread the wealth” comment, he’s shown his true colors right there.

I hate to break it to you guys, but under this definition the Bush tax cuts were socialistic as well. Every time there is a tax cut these days, they cut more for the middle class than those in higher tax brackets. And every time there is a tax increase, they increase the taxes of the higher brackets more than the middle class.

The system was doomed once we get to the point where a majority of the people don't directly pay taxes. This is what the Democrats are desperately trying to get to.

OK. I agree Obama is a socialist and promotes class warfare but I do not think this statement about tax cuts to the middle class is the best example we can find to prove it.

This does not seen like a "I Had A Scream" moment.

Maybe I am just too foggy this morning to see it.

19 posts before someone recognized the opposite.

I’ve been called a Nazi for disagreeing with affirmative actions programs. My saying so does not mean I am admitting my National Socialist tendencies.

Just one more peek into the Obamessiah’s psyche echoes from history.

Obama: “I am not a socialist”

Karl Marx: “I am not a Marxist”
