There is only one game this weekend that matters and it isn’t TT vs Texas. It is NU-OU. Sure the glean is off the rivalry, and right now NU is not what it used to be but you better believe that both coaches are reminding their players the historical importance of the old rivalry, how for over thirty years in a row at least one team in the rivalry was ranked top five, and often both teams were in the top ten and from 1970 until 1997 IIRC the winner of the game played for the MNC ten times. Those hallowed days are still in memory and Bo and Bob will have their boys up for renewing the classic battle. Will Bo institute classic Husker spoiling of OU’s chances or will Bob continue the reborn Sooner magic that he brought back to sooner land? Ican’t wait and neither can anybody in my family, we still think Nebraska is going to get mudstomped however so that isn’t too fun to think about but hey memories are still memories.
