How do I "Turn Off The Turbo"

TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Computers/Internet
KEYWORDS: reconfigtohelpfr
Earlier today, there was a post showing how to reconfigure Firefox so it doesn't demand a huge amount of bandwidth on secondary address calls. It was titled "Turn Off The Turbo" (or something).

I neglected to bookmark it and i want to do my part in helping FR bring much needed info to the masses.

I've searched keywords and can't find it. Can anyone send me the link?

I don’t have the link but printed it out. Here’s what it reads...

Type in about:config in the address bar.

Set network.http.max-connections to a low value, 2 or 3 xhould be good.

Set network http-pipelining.maxrequests to a similar value, say 4 or 5.

Ramp it back up tomorrow (first copy your original settings).

BTW, I’m using IE7 right now. I can’t get on at all on either the main or beta servers...

Let me first say, don't do this. Here's the thread anyway.
