Urinating on the Constitution does not honor the office. There is no equivalency.

In fact, I believed Bush should have been impeached for signing CFR.

Promoting unconstitutional legislation is unAmerican. Period.

It is a national disgrace. NO THANK YOU... Take your “Get Along Gang” and get along. We Don’t Need You.

President Harrison is turning in his grave because of Ohio and Indiana.... disgraceful.... damn disgraceful.

so if people post the first few lines of the declaration of independence, that would be sedition? it was back then. how about giving people a couple hours to vent and mourn the perceived loss of their America.

I will do as I am shown....and I've been shown that you can belittle, demean, castigate, question, threaten and laugh at a sitting president and its fully acceptable...in that I will do my duty....

he is not my president....he may be yours....but he is not mine....he is not worthy to by my president...

If you are embarassed, I am sure there is an Obama celebration party you could join where you would feel more comfortable. Or just turn on Fox News.

Gosh, the election just basically ended. Could you maybe let us vent and cry TONIGHT?

There are stages to grief, you know!

I, for one, am so sorry to “embarass” you but take a look at one of the next postings - this isn’t just a defeat - this is the distruction of basic tenets of our country’s philosophy: tampering with the vote gets a pass, money from overseas is poured into the country, there was no “coverage” of anything about one of the candidates (even Brokaw wondered what he stood for) and many if not most voted for the guy purely based on his skin color...so you will have to admit that those of us who are devastated have every right to grouse away - maybe we aren’t all as sange froid as you - aren’t you lucky!!!!

“This is getting embarrassing witnessing what is rebellion and sedition. Yes, we lost, it sucks, it hurts. However, if you go on whining and spouting this hate this does nothing to help the party. We suck it up and we respect our country and the office. This guy, while not in line with my beliefs, was elected by a lot of fellow Americans. Heck Indiana people!! So stop crying, suck it up, instead of spouting this bs. If you don’t like it, then move to Wasilla.”

HELL NO!!!!! We don’t take to whiners up here in Alaska. And we sure don’t welcome with open arms those that are like Obama and prefer to throw people under the bus. McCain tried to win this thing....Governor Palin tried her best too. And now after all these weeks of hearing everyone supporting McCain, I’m reading comment after comment, after comment, of people now slamming the man that could have been president if we hadn’t been so damn “pure” and held off supporting him, getting out the vote, until so close to election time.

Save your rage for the ObamaNation. And send Sarah home...we need her.

I’ll give Barack Hussein Obama the same amout of respect the liberals gave George W. Bush; the man who gave them the freedom to slander him openly. And I’ll support him as much as the Democrats gave him; blaming him for everything they themselve did.

We’ll see very quickly their unity and bipartisanship.

Let’s see how Obama honors the flag and the office first. If he doesn’t honor those and doesn’t uphold the Constitution as he will swear to do, then he is the one that needs to go, not me.

I had complained before about the lack of civility in politics. Unfortunately the party formerly known as the Democratic Party, hereafter to be called the Marxist Party, no longer has statesmen like Truman, Humphrey (who ran the commies out of the DFL in his day), Scoop Jackson, Sam Nunn, and others. Lieberman’s been thrown under the bus. It is now the party of Stalinist in your face orthodoxy. The time of civility is over. If you must be nice, be nice to their faces, but stab them in the back, as one Freeper suggested on another thread. The Dems for the most part have treated the conservatives with rudeness and nastiness for the past eight years.

Part of being an American is respecting the office and remembering that the nation, for better or worse, is the home of the world’s greatest hopes. Gerard, I salute you for posting what you did. We have a lot of problems; let’s see what the new guy can do. Does anyone really hate America so much that he or she’d wish for this man’s failure? What good would that do? You think there’s gonna be some kind of ‘do-over’? What kind of patriotism is that???

I seem to remember a quote from Edmund Burke, that goes something like:

"All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

Tacit acceptance of evil is just another evil. Our political system, as devised by the Founders provides remedies for this tragedy. No quick fixes, mind you -- it'll take time (4 years minimum) and lots of work. But we do have recourse.

“...was elected by a lot of fellow Americans.”

Well, you have a point but only if it is possible to call socialists fellow Americans. And it is not possible because socialism is incompatible with the US Constitution.

O has been surrounded by communists and communist supporters from his highchair days to the present. Did the MSM tell you about that? Axelrod, his campaign manager was born into a communist supporting household.

Even Charles Krauthammer (sp?) this evening said he is a guy that came out of nowhere, that no one knew him. Total BS! His record has been there the entire time for the press to look at. Consider his friends and colleagues, his family, his books and his public statements.

No, I think we have been played, and played big time.

Now if you advocate rebuilding the Republican party, I am with you.
