Oh please! There is is no moral equivalence, here. I will NOT congratulate Obama as if I am the “loyal opposition” who simply opposes his ideas. I will NOT congratulate a man who promises as his first act in office to enable (and thereby encourage) the slaughter of millions of unborn babies! The Freedom of Choice Act be damned! I will NOT congratulate a man who threatens to take away our freedoms. Welcome to the Fairness Doctrine and to the new “civil defense force” (whatever the Hell that turns out to be); will the 2nd Amendment fall after he destroys the 1st? I will NOT congratulate a man who buys the presidency with an obscene amount of money (Soros?) and a “Mainstream Media” which is no longer “mainstream.” (Let’s just call it PRAVDA). And NO! I will NOT congratulate a man who threatens to tax me out of my house and my life savings so that he can “spread the wealth around.” Nor will I congratulate a man who threatens to weaken the country my father fought and bled for in World War II, a highly decorated 85-year-old veteran who had to endure some thug who this week tore down his McCain/Palin sign which he had placed so proudly in his front yard. If the Left can oppose and destroy conservatives when they are elected merely on the promise of protecting the American Dream, what is the Right to do when a leftist is elected promising sweeping change that would destroy that Dream? Evil must be opposed, not congratulated. This morning, a colleague chided me when I called it Evil. I told him that I had wept last night for the coming slaughter of the unborn. Yes, it’s Evil. The word was good enough for Ronald Reagan. And it is good enough for me.

While I agree with the general tenor of your post, I don't believe your implication here is accurate. Those unborn babies will be killed, as the millions have previously, by the killers hired by the babies' mothers. Blaming Osama, easy as that might be, takes the responsibility off the true decision-makers, and off both parents who chose to conceive children when they were not willing to be mothers and fathers.

Now that, I agree 100%! And if it becomes law, every legislator who votes for it will be just as responsible as the man who signs it. They may not, though, once they may have to stand before their constituents with a done deal instead of an empty gesture.
Yes, oppose Obama where its right to do so, but lets not do some things that the Left did the last 8 years, which are simply beyond the pale... For example, I will NEVER undermide US national security, the Military, or American Foreign policy (where its “right”), just to “get at” Obama. I will NEVER wish ill on my country, its people, or economy, just to blame Obama. I will NEVER compare Obama to Hitler (unless he starts building ovens). We need an ideological path to oppose Obama, not the childish thrashing and screaming of the last 8 years.

No more compromises. Compromising is what got us to where we are today. We compromised the free markets and when our highly-regulated, heavily-taxed economy takes a dive it is capitalism and economic freedom that gets blamed.

I agree with you, but evil works through A LOT of men, and women. Stalin didn’t kill millions on his own, neither did Hitler or Mao, neither have pro-abortion lawmakers/judges. They’ve all required extremely large numbers of complicit individuals to do most or all of the actual, on-the-ground killing.
They are not just complicit if encouraged. If I hand you a gun and encourage you to shoot a man and you do, am I blameless?
I recall almost throwing up when Bush said he was going to DC to “work with the Dems and get past the politics of division”...said the same thing in 04 but a bit less enthusiastically. What happened: the dems spit in his face and continued their zeal to discredit, undermine and insult him and the entire GOP. So, don’t expect me to turn the other cheek. I will not submit to their enslavement. I will not go along to get along. I will continue to call them as I see them: THE ENEMY. As such, I will not be a collaborator. Fortunately locally, my county voted 70% to 30% for McCain and that is where I will continue to put my time and money. I would encourage each and every one of us to adopt this stance.
Assuming we have the votes in the Senate, the GOP should block every piece of legislation. If they have to close down the government, so be it. We have to take a hard stand especially on judicial appointments and budget items. I know I am dreaming about this as too many of our senators are RHINOs, but at least it feels good to dream.
I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make. Are you saying that the people who operated Hitler’s gas chambers, for example, were not guilty of murder?
