Bush has been a disaster for the Republican brand. Everybody knew what Ronald Reagan stood for. Everybody knew what the 1994 GOP stood for.
Bush has appointed good justices and fought strongly against the War On Terror.
But what has he done to advance conservative principles?
Which portions of the Contract For America has he advanced?
The class of ‘94 began getting corrupted long before W got there.
W never was a doctrinaire, screw-the-Dems conservative; not in Texas, not in Washington.
It would have been nice to see him fight back once in a while, though.
