does 7-Up keep its fizz when it is heated? I would have thought it would go flat...

I admit that I wondered the same thing about hot Dr Pepper (a seasonal specialty in the Waco, TX area...no the season of choice is not summer LOL)...I never got up the courage to try it...drinking a Dr Pepper that sat outside too long in the Texas summer scared me off of it...the BURN!!!!!!

It doesn’t really stay fizzy... it just seems to add a little kick to it. I tried leaving it out and also tried substituting other lemon-lime-citrusy-type ingredients and it just wasn’t as good. :/

I usually double the recipe because it goes so fast. We have it with dinner and then I leave the rest on a low burner so people can help themselves to it the rest of the day.

Is hot Dr. Pepper just as it sounds? A heated Dr. Pepper? Or are other things added? Hey, I’m game... I’ll try it! :D

My high school job was as a concessionaire, hot dog stand, I'll never forget the Thanksgiving weekend the boss brought in this crock-pot looking item, poured in five cans of Dr. Pepper, plugged it in. HOT DR. PEPPER??!!??!!

It lost the carbonation, also got quite concentrated, ended up way too sweet for me to drink. It ended up a novelty, someone would buy a cup to try but never bought another.
