I don’t remember her in anything before Monk either. Whoever wrote her character understood the value of a foil for the lead character.

In my quest to avoid the NEWS right now, I enjoy watching ‘NCIS’ on USA for several hours during the evening news shows...

Those 3 hours of NCIS come in pretty handy.....I cannot remember the last time I watched the news.....BE (before election) I would watch some of the local but Obama is mentioned there too and CNN (Certainly Not National) is out of the question.....

We really like Burn Notice. Monk and his ilk can go at any time and that would be ok with our family.

I never saw NCIS before, but a few weeks ago I was in a hotel and for some reason an NCIS marathon must have been on. I enjoyed the cast, Harmon’s still a hunk, and the stories weren’t too bad. I don’t understand if the characters are all supposed to be Navy personnel or what - why don’t they wear uniforms? But anyway, now that I’m home, NCIS is a good way to avoid the news, especially if all the decorating shows are in repeats. : )

Tony Shaloub is a Lebanese-American Catholic.

How liberal can he be?

Thanks for the heads-up!

Detective Adrian Monk believes in such things as hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray and color-coordinated jelly beans. But does Mr. Monk believe in miracles?

Find out as a special episode of Monk arrives just in time for the holidays. Catch the premiere of "Mr. Monk and The Miracle" Friday, November 28 at 9/8C on USA.

I’ve only recently discovered Monk. I’ve really enjoyed the series. I felt bad that Sharona departed during the second season, but I went ahead and got 1&2, 4&5 at a used video place for about $20 each. I paid about $30 something at Target for a new 3rd season. It’s been enjoyable. I’ve always like Tony Shaloub (blufftoney, huh, huh, blufftoney).

I didn't miss Sharona at all, but fell in love with her replacement:

Traylor Howard

I bought my early seasons of Monk DVD’s from Amazon.com until I started watching marathons. Now I’ve seen the rest of the shows from marathons and daily re-runs.
