I love snorkeling and scuba diving and windsurfing, and have been in the water off Hawaii a number of times, but this kind of thing always gives me the heebie jeebies. There are beasts that can kill you in the blink of an eye out there.

Thats the suburb where I grew up. I’ve scuba dived in that bay before and seen turtles, baracudas, and a large group of hammerhead sharks swim right by me. Thankfully, it was mating season and they aren’t interested in eating when they got hot shark lovin on the menu. But anytime a tiger shark is around, get the hell out of the water.

Didn’t the shark realize it was violating the Endangered Species Act? Why didn’t the Coast Guard or NOAA take action to prevent this?

About one week ago, we returned from 2 weeks on the island of Kauai. We snorkeled and played in the water every day. We went swimming with the turtles on several occasions. My bride saw, and was within 6’ of, a reef shark that was stirring things up.

I think I wont be sharing this article with my Bride. ;>)

Tiger sharks breed in the bay here during the winter months and they feed on sea turtles or just about anything that comes their way; Akules, nenues, uhus and Michelin tires.

Boy you sure are on a Shark threading mode.

I suppose as camara/men hang out taking pics of sharks we can be sure a shark will eak anything it dang well instinctly chooses.

I dig the feeding habits of the Octopus and squid myself.

I was watching a doc the other night on how the Australian beaches have barriors to keep out the jelly fish from the Ocean fun waders but there is a almost micro deadly like jelly fish that they cannot make the net barrior small enough for and with the normal changes in oceanic changes thes lil suckers are really screwing up the Holiday Tourist ocean fun folks.

I live on the bay in frigid waters and had to go out and rescue my dog who got engantled years ago no it was not far out but knowing crab of all sorts loomed I choose to dog paddle out to my best friend not walk and had to strip down to bra but chose to keep the pants on.

Saved the dog though.
