Vanity: What to do when FR is down.
Posted on 11/21/2008, 3:23:37 PM by GeorgiaGuy
FR seems to have been down a lot lately. I have severe withdrawals when that happens. Isn't there a web site that indicates FR's status? If so what is that site? Thanks.

I sit in the back corner of my clothes closet, behind my Mom’s old winter coats, and breathe into a paper bag...
Works for me. YMMV.

There’s a group on yahoo called Freerepublic2. I go there. Someone there also said that there is a facebook thingie and I think I might have (I’ve been sick and medicated so I’m not sure) signed up finally for a facebook account but I have no idea how to access it.

Yahoo has a FR group but when I joined it,
I got a bunch of junk and spam mail.

Well, I'm not entirely sure what others do but there seems to be a whole BUNCH of babies born nine months after FR goes down, every time!
Personally, I just grab a book and retreat from reality.

See post 5.
Many of us go there and those of us that have been with Yahoo for a while will post the news from the Yahoo Group there.
The nice thing about the Yahoo Group is that if JimRob sends out an alert, you get it.

Usually confirm it’s not me by going to Freerepublic2, and then freak the freak out.

What to do when FR is down. After a couple hours I usually go sit in a dark corner, load one round and idly spin the cylinder...
