Sam Houston was never going to put Santa Anna in front of a firing squad. History tells us that was *never* the intention of Sam Houston, and so that would not have happened in any case. You see..., Santa Anna was about 100 times more valuable *alive* than he *ever* would have been “dead” — because Santa Anna was *also* President of Mexico and had the authority to conclude such an agreement — a very good reason to keep him alive... LOL...
