I've heard that Serbian Privi Partisan ammo is pretty good and can usually be found at a decent price, but haven't tried any yet. Does anyone know from personal experience?

It is reliable (no failures yet), but not quite as accurate as I would like (shooting 55 grain out of a 1/9 twist the groups are about twice as large as what I can achieve with my stash of Lake City). So far I've tried three batches (one was actually branded "Monarch" from a local Academy, but it is manufactured by Privi Partisan) with consistent results.

I would use something else for competition, but it is decent ammo for training or plinking.

The Monarch was what I saw at the Academy store. It’s not really cheap, but the FMJ and the soft point were the same price, so I thought I might try some of the soft point. About a month ago, Gander Mt. had Lake City XM193 for $7.50 box/20. Should have bought more!
