Well, E-X-C-U-S-E ME for having a set of eyes (that do need glasses to see).

BTW: How about “Palin/Bateman” instead? Now THERE’s a ticket I wouldn’t mind seeing for eight years. Yeah, sexist as it is, it would be “Easy on the eyes.”

I’ll to volunteer to help with this project, since I have extensive darkroom experience and am likewise dedicated to high technical standards of artistic representation.

As you say, it’s a tough gig.

It's so gratifying to know that there are talented FReepers who are willing to make incredible sacrifices in the pursuit of art and cultural diversity.  When a difficult, unpleasant job is at hand we can always count on Conservatives to get the job done.  Bravo!

WE HAVE TO REACH OUT TO THE WORLD TO MAKE AMENDS FOR OUR HEGEMONY!!

You're absolutely right of course, and I can think of no better way to do it than to extend our appreciative hands toward these fine representatives of other cultures, and demonstrate our compassion and stellar abilities in the process.

part of me is reaching out as we speak.....

Your appreciation for cultural diversity is commendable.

I voted for Miss India personally.

She is obviously a magnificent representative of a proud nation and vibrant culture.  I would be delighted to personally oversee a re-do of her judging as it was obviously flawed and needs FReeper intervention.

But, I think it is important here to get to the real purpose of this thread. GOD creates beauty everywhere and it is always refreshing to see beauty and to relish in its display....

Truer words were never spoken....agreed on all counts.

Perhaps she didn't make the finals?  From your kindly-supplied photo, I would have to say that this is more evidence of a completely flawed judging process that obviously needs FReeper intervention.  A complete re-do of the entire competition is in order with FReepers monitoring all aspects of the process.

Jokes aside, this post is one of the best posts in promoting harmony among different peoples.

As I reviewed this post carefully I realized that I could have intelligent conversations equally with Miss India, Miss Mexico, Miss Russia and Miss South Africa.

In fact I would like to chat with all four of them simultaneously.

God truly is great! He has once agained opened my eyes to the beauty that exists in Nature (Miss Venezuela NOT covered by the “nature” part of that comment)

Attractive young women - and I think it’s nice that they didn’t have to wear high-heeled shoes to walk on the beach.
