Happy housecleaning, jaycee..I just mopped the kitchen..need to run the vaccuum..I did not do my usual fall stem to stern cleanup..I was playing with kittens..I think no one notices when I wash all the woodwork and put polish on the kitchen cabinets but me anyway..Tomorrow I really need to get the sliding doors done..They are really a mess.

Hawk Roosting

I sit in the top of the wood, my eyes closed. Inaction, no falsifying dream Between my hooked head and hooked feet: Or in sleep rehearse perfect kills and eat. The convenience of the high trees! The air's buoyancy and the sun's ray Are of advantage to me; And the earth's face upward for my inspection. My feet are locked upon the rough bark. It took the whole of Creation To produce my foot, my each feather: Now I hold Creation in my foot Or fly up, and revolve it all slowly - I kill where I please because it is all mine. There is no sophistry in my body: My manners are tearing off heads - The allotment of death. For the one path of my flight is direct Through the bones of the living. No arguments assert my right: The sun is behind me. Nothing has changed since I began. My eye has permitted no change. I am going to keep things like this. Ted Hughes

She always give me my arm back for safe keeping since she will need it again. All the cats like to perch there regularly and I enjoy their friendhip and their purr.

This one wasn’t coincidence ;o) I remembered it had winter blues.

:) All I know is that so many times your first post matches our openings that whether you had it already (or not!), it appears to be a concentrated effort to carry on the theme or colors of the opening!

There are very few autumn colors 'out' where I live, because most of our trees are the same, and they're either green year round (live oak and cherry laurel) or they turn a blah shade of brown or yellow just before their leaves fall. In town though, many neighborhoods have more colorful trees - red and orange - so it's a treat to see when visit some of our friends. :)

I agree on the holidays for today - I am so glad I didn't live in the days of slavery. It's almost unbelievable to think any human being could be treated that way.

Thank you so much, Majie. I love the falling snow and used it a lot at the Finest the last year or so. It almost makes a winter scene come alive. :) You'll be seeing it a lot more! LOL
