Miss Elg was born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 2, 1907. Her parents, who were natives of Sweden, emigrated to the United States sometime prior to 1906 and her father was naturalized here in that year. Perkins v. Elg, 307 U.S. 325, 327 (1939). |

The facts were these: One Steinkauler, a Prussian subject by birth, emigrated to the United States in 1848, was naturalized in 1854, and in the following year had a son who was born in St. Louis. Perkins v. Elg, 307 U.S. 325, 330 (1939). |
'Young Steinkauler is a native-born American citizen.
Perkins v. Elg, 307 U.S. 325, 330 (1939). |

Quoting the court: "First. On her birth in New York, the plaintiff became a citizen of the United States. Civil Rights Act of 1866, 14 Stat. 27; Fourteenth Amendment, § 1; United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U. S. 649.
There is no reference here to the status of her parents as citizens or aliens, as this was irrelevant. The mere fact of her birth in NYC made her a US citizen (native-born, natural-born, citizen at birth).
The question before the Court was not whether Ms. Elg was born a citizen, it was whether she had lost that citizenship by action of her parents while she was a minor. The Court concluded she had not.
Your chart appears to be wrong about Ms. Elg's parents. The Court said, "The question is whether the plaintiff, Marie Elizabeth Elg. who was born in the United States of Swedish parents then naturalized here."
While it does not specifically mention when her mother was naturalized, as it does for her father, she apparently became a citizen prior to her daughter's birth.
Also please note: The Steinkauler case should eliminate any issue as to whether there is a difference between a native-born citizen, natural-born citizen and citizen at birth. "Young Steinkauler is a native-born American citizen. ...He can return to America at the age of twenty-one, and in due time, if the people elect, he can become President of the United States"
The Court made no such comment with regard to Ms. Elg, probably because the thought of a female president was outlandish at the time. But it also did not assign her to any category other than native born citizen at birth.
