And Easter is from Ishtar

That's where the name comes from, which is why I actually used the phrase 'Resurrection Sunday' in my original post. The celebration does not. Contrary to atheistic claims, Jesus' resurrection is not borrowed from pagan religions. It is very different from any of the ancient Mystery religions.

Given the way things are going in our culture and the world in general, Christians had better hang on for dear life to whatever holidays and traditions we have, even if they are Christianized pagan festivals. We could do a better job of keeping the birth of Jesus Christ as the focus of Christmas, as opposed to visits from Santa Claus and his reindeer.
