I wonder if the DoD has ever had cops on bases before. You have to admit this isn't the same as hiring a civilian cook or landscaper to work on base. I wonder if that gives the DoD officers rank over the average MP. Who might be the final authority in a disputable matter? They are also walking a fine line when they mix military with civilian police. Under an unethical command you could have the makings of a form of black or brown shirts trained with the most elite fighting force in the world, the United States Marines. I'm not saying that's what's happening, it just seems curious.
