"I am amazed of the conciseness of the statement." I think of myself as not merely a craftsman of words, but a mechanic of meaning.
For example, the word "concise" has two parts; con- means with-, and -cise means -cut or shear. Same root as "incisive" or "incision", and possibly related to "scissors".
Anyway, concise means "with cutting", thus demonstrating that while brevity may be the soul of wit, the soul of brevity is sarcasm.
