Ihave two. One upstairs, and one down. I keep a mossberg 500 in my truck.
Both are excellent, inexpensive yet quality home defense weapons but I would go with the 870
Either way, you can’t go wrong.
a pump shotgun is ideal for a nervous beginner. Benelli Nova, Mossy 500 or Remington 870 are all good.
as for a 9mm I watch grown men shoot pathetic groups at 10 feet every time I go to the range pistoling has to be done right and practiced.
