I’d read the Fitzgerald short story this movie is based on earlier this year. When I first heard about this film adaptation, my immediate reaction was “there just isn’t enough there to support a whole film.”

From this review, it looks like I was right.

Aw. It was based on a Fitzgerald story? I will definitely read the short story! It is a fascinating premise, but as you mentioned hard to flush into a longer fiction if the foundation doesn't already exist. Somethings/ideas are meant to just be a short story and not longer fiction. Thank you for your comments.
