Anyway, it's always nice to see the B-2.
How many were produced? I know they have stopped making them.
Oh, it’s the ROSE parade, not the Rosie parade. I was waiting for the dykes on bikes float..........bring on da game
I think 20 we lost one in Guam on take off last year
Im sure we have something better out there flying that we have not heard about yet
{shudder}
Yeah, they do take more than a few days to develop.
It’s on!
Here it is
Shocking!
Thank you for the heads up a couple of hours ago about the “Torment” of Roses. I manage to miss it almost every year because I forget about it.
I will never forget many years ago I was watching it with my Dad. A float went up in flames. I believe it was the Pancake House float. Can anybody help me here if it was the Pancake House of some other fast food establishment’s float?
Thank you.
Now, bring on the Mummers Parade.
of = or
Mrs. Lurkin and I waited for an hour and a half to watch it take off. She had to leave for work and sure enough as we were driving about a mile away the beautiful thing roared over and past us.
Here it is I finally found it:
Rose Parade float builder Bill Lofthouse dies; he pushed petals on wheels to new frontiers
His Phoenix Decorating Co. broadened the concept of parade floats by emphasizing animation and going beyond mere flowers into items such as sesame seeds and beans. He was 68.

During the 1983 parade, his float for the International House of Pancakes caught fire when the hair made of pampas grass of a giant sculpted dog found its way into the engines manifold. Flames and smoke shot skyward as the dog was consumed. Horrified TV announcers speculated about whether the driver would escape. (He did.)

Stephanie Edwards is back in the booth!!!I hope they had to pay her a pretty penny to come back. I remember a couple of years ago when they brought some new chick in and stuck Stephanie out in the rain. That was so disrespectful.
It just ain't the Tournament of Roses Parade without Bob and Stephanie. Tradition must be upheld. :)
Well, Christmas was over a week ago, why would they play Christmas music?
Outside of that, the weather today was spectacular... Sunny, 71 degrees with mild pacific breeze...
Looks like the University of Spoiled Children whooped butt on the Pansy Boys from Penn State
USC stops to smell the roses in rout of Penn State
Pasadena, CA (Sports Network) - Southern California wins the Rose Bowl for the third consecutive season with a 38-24 win over sixth-ranked Penn State.
Back to the cold, in defeat! lol..
Congrats to the Trojans! If not for a bad game against OSU they'd be playing Florida, which is a game I'd dearly love to see.
