In other words, these guys would rather claim to have been massively off in estimating mass for our own galaxy than to admit the simple reality that gravity does not hold the thing together....

So, what do you think holds things together out in space? I thought gravity held everything together and is the basis for nebula/planet/star/galaxy creation.
