The movie was very good. Never got into the show. Maybe I’ll watch tonight...too cold to do anything else!

I never watched the show (I don’t watch any tv these days, zero zip nada) but I heard Janine Turner on Laura Ingraham’s show talking about her decision when she went to work on this program. She moved to Texas (to get away from Hollywood) and raise her daughter (she’s conservative and pro-life). She gets some stares in Austin for her GOP bumper stickers but she seems to like the show.

FNL is a pretty good show. That said I don’t really watch much TV, other than football (at least until 24 started again).

The first season of the show was pretty much about trials and tribulations of high school football team in Texas and centered on their coach, his wife, who is the school guidance councilor, their daughter, a high school student and some key players. In my opinion by the end of the first season it becomes too much of a soap opera but there is still a football element. I teach high school, love football so what’s not to like?

I do know I am going to be watching this tonight on my 50 inch Plasma (too bad if that bothers any Euro Greenies are reading this :) Might have a beer or two as I burn some wood in my fire place contributing to global warming. Wish I had some Shiner Bock :) Enjoy all.
