Seems like a genuinely odd pick to me. A little too long in the tooth for the young’n’hip crowd, a little too irreverent (I would think) for the Beltway types.

But what do I know? If it was my inaugural ball, the band list would be Alice in Chains, Deep Purple, and Ratt - in that order. :) (I’m hoping DeMartini would let me jam with him for the main set).

Surprisingly a few of the “celebrities” listed as deadheads on wiki include Bill Clinton, Al Franken,Nancy Pelosi, Tony Blair, Patrick Leahy and our beloved Ann Coulter!
