THE AGENDA • ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
The White House ^ | Jan 21, 2009 | President Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.

Posted on 01/21/2009 8:27:53 AM PST by thackney

The energy challenges our country faces are severe and have gone unaddressed for far too long. Our addiction to foreign oil doesn't just undermine our national security and wreak havoc on our environment -- it cripples our economy and strains the budgets of working families all across America. President Obama and Vice President Biden have a comprehensive plan to invest in alternative and renewable energy, end our addiction to foreign oil, address the global climate crisis and create millions of new jobs.

The Obama-Biden comprehensive New Energy for America plan will:

Energy Plan Overview

Provide Short-term Relief to American Families

Eliminate Our Current Imports from the Middle East and Venezuela within 10 Years

Create Millions of New Green Jobs

Reduce our Greenhouse Gas Emissions 80 Percent by 2050

TOPICS: Business/Economy
KEYWORDS: energy
Ensure 10 percent of Our Electricity Comes from Renewable Sources by 2012, and 25 percent by 2025

The 10% isn't such a stretch when you include our existing hydropower. But 25%??? Not unless they start building breeder reactors...

the liberal agenda:

no breathing, no driving, no walking on the ground, no speech that opposes irrational liberal/democrat/communist “energy policy”.

just stfu and accept any edict passed down from the politburo. (u.s. congress)

IMHO

“Drill Here, Drill Now” will again be the battle call by November of this year! Energy costs will spike again within 18 months with the policies outlined above. This will be the downfall of Obama and not a moment too soon.

Yep - and they have complete power to tax us too...which is what is meant by “ensure” and “implement.”

Yup, libtards hate the math, ya know? I've always favored breeder reactors as a quick step up to reducing natural gas demands on electricity except for demand peaks.

Yuma mtn is now open and doing business....we should use it for what it was designed for.

Then again, in Utopia...ideas are all that matters. Just think about if there were enough nukes in place to run a steady 80% output 24/7?

“Swap Oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to Cut Prices.
___________________________________________________________

The strategic reason for the oil reserve is for national defense in a time of attack or crisis. How would the military function without oil?

They wouldn't. Consider what is involved in operating all the machinery, vehicles, airplanes, helicopters, tanks, missiles, etc. An endless list.

We must keep and preserve our strategic oil reserve.

That was my exact first thought.

Then I read it again...

And repeated my first thought.

So, we empty our reserves while an “enemy” runs the price of oil up in plan of an attack or embargo.

Yeah, that’s a good plan...

I’m wondering what “swap” means in this context.

As presented in the Article above it suggests (however) as a stalking horse, ... as somehow impacting the price of oil. Somehow limiting the price to all.

Makes no sense to me. Oil is vital and America had sources that are not being allowed to be developed and produced.

Crazy. Insane even.

Our leaders are not our friends, the environmentalist's are not our friends, Global warming supporters are not our friends, antiwar attitudes are not our friends, The UN are not our friends,

We are in BIG TROUBLE ... pray to God to help us.
