In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
pandiculation \pan-dik-yuh-LEY-shuhn\, noun
An instinctive stretching, as on awakening or while yawning
Example sentence:
"Pandiculate for Health! Grow Tall! Get Well! Be Young!" Exuberant ads like this, running in health-fad magazines since 1914, have proclaimed the virtues of a spine-stretching device called the "Pandiculator."
-- Time, 1942-04-12
Etymology:
By 1611, from French pandiculation from Latin pandiculari "to stretch oneself" and French suffix -ion.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

My canine companion, Vicky, does that.
Good morning! I think all of us do this.
A+ for you!

That's Hayley Williams, lead singer of Paramore.
Good Morning!
My nephew told me, some years ago, that a little pandiculation was good for you, even before you get out of bed.
So I usually do that, unless I’m already stretched.
A+ for you. She's a local kid and they're a local band.
i foresee pix of cute pandas for the thread.
I can’t believe I’m excited that today’s high temp will be in the 50s. The dog may even get a walk!
A for you.
Yeah, Franklin, right? That’s Jack Daniels country. I discovered them because they did the theme to “Twilight” and it was getting played twice per hour on Alt Nation.
I was told that women pandiculate in the morning because they don’t have a certain part of the anatomy to scratch.
No, it’s the town of Franklin, not the county. They are supposed to be pretty good kids too, according to friends who know them.
You and me both! I can’t wait to escape the treadmill for the great outdoors.
pandiculation sounds more like an injury received while frying in the nude.
Oh yeah. Just googled it. It’s right down the road from you.
That’s nothing. We’re getting above freezing for the first time in about 10 days.
