On the 36th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion, a man smashed his SUV into the entrance of the Planned Parenthood office in St. Paul this morning.
Although staff members have gotten used to protests, particularly on the anniversary of the ruling, "we certainly don't expect this sort of thing," said Sarah Stoesz, the president and chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood of Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. ""It's never happened before and we don't expect it to happen again."
The 32-year-old man, who has refused to identify himself, was arrested and charged on suspicion of aggravated assault, said police spokesman Peter Panos. Police were trying to confirm the man's name before forwarding felony charges to the Ramsey County attorney's office.
"We think it's intentional because of Roe vs. Wade," Panos said. "He's not saying much. He was praying or chanting when the officers arrived."
Panos also said the incident was unusual. "Usually we have some demonstrations there on this day, but someone doing actual damage is very, very rare," he said.
Several employees were in the building at the time, said Planned Parenthood spokeswoman Kathi Di Nicola. She said the SUV hit the front door of the clinic two or three times, damaging the clinic's front door and surrounding stonework.
When Di Nicola arrived at the clinic, she said the man had gotten out of the SUV and was pacing around it, holding a crucifix and chanting. "He was agitated and he was saying, 'shut down this Auschwitz,' " she said.

No of course PP expects everyone to shut up and support their democide.
We’re not Muslims, we don’t need to resort to this kind of violent garbage to promote our agenda.
They will charge him as a terrorist under the Patriot Act.
An evil SUV?
I guess the swearing in of the ONE was to much for this good soul. He realized unlimited abortion on demand was a distinct possibility.
promote an agenda or to render a killing house nonfunctional for a time. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough damage done.
I guess this should be listed under “another SUV goes rogue”
We've got to fight this on the moral high ground, not via the base instincts we purport to abhor. No more f-ups.
I think he just wanted to assure himself of shelter and food in the coming civil war. No biggie.
I try not to think about abortion. Got my head stuck in the sand, I guess, but I lean to it being a woman’s choice and a personal decision. However....To those who are passionate about the issue and believe abortion is murder...how could you not take matters in your on hands? If you saw someone being murdered in the streets would it not be your moral responsibility to stop it? Probably, if I really thought about the issue, I would be scared of what I might do. That’s probably why I choose to ignore it. Abortion, I mean.
And pro-life supporters don't have the political minority-status shield to protect them from any consequence of their actions. It's amazing how much Muslims have been able to get away with without repercussion.
How many babies would make it into this world if more guys would Man up and support the Life of an unborn child they created?
Planned or not.
Please explain how one has a “rational dialog” with evil?
Please tell me what has been accomplished since 1973 by “rational dialog” with baby killers?
FTA “Shut down this Auschwitz”
I can’t disagree with THAT.
What a major idiot. Now the MSM will generalize all of us who oppose abortion as nutcases. Such a shame that there is always someone who feels their extremism is justified. The ends do not justify the means.
Most real of all men? Christ was without a doubt the greatest man. Real men today strive toward Christ-like attitudes and behaviors. I know of no passage in the Gospels where Christ gathered up a posse and went on a rampage. These extremists like this guy are not Christ-like, therefore they are not real men.
True enough. When Jesus kicked butt, he went after the church of his time and beat their silly behinds black and blue.
I think the same might be worth doing today.
A lot more has been accomplished by the quiet, strong people who realize they have the ability to accomplish what needs to get done within their sphere of influence. I believe this evil has been limited greatly by those who do the Lord’s work daily where they are — not by those who go off the deep end and drive an SUV through the window of an abortion clinic.
If any one of you believes he is up to the task of going one-on-one with the devil, then allow me to suggest there’s only one way. His name is Jesus (and don’t hit me with the crap that the drove the money changers out of the temple).
If you stop to think about it, he didn’t try to drive Rome out of Jerusalem. He realized he only had authority over one area — the temple. What is the temple? If you don’t know that by now, you’re not even trying to get it.
“Please explain how one has a rational dialog with evil?”
In direct answer to your question. “You” don’t. “He” does. Not even the Archangel of God, Michael is engaged in “dialog” with evil. He simply replied when challenged, “I will let the Lord deal with you.” No dialog. That’s the first mistake.
In the words of St. Francis, “Preach the gospel every day and, if necessary, use words.” You take on any more than that and you are out of your league.
You teach them that procreation is the result of sexual intercourse and if you're not in a position to deal with the results of your night of passion (I'm gagging here), you had best keep your legs together, your pants on and zipped up; otherwise, it may not be just about “you” anymore, and it isn't just “your decision” anymore. It became impersonal the moment you decided to cast your fate to the winds and go with the moment.
That's the dialog I'm talking about. I won't even “think” about dialoging with Dr. Tiller or others similarly inclined. Let the Lord deal with them.
?? Whip, temple, money changers.
