Post your positive ideas for economic recovery: Here are some of mine... 1. Reinstate tax deductions for car interest. 2. Reinstate tax deductions for consumer debt interest 3. Forego capital gains on buying and holding foreclosed properties for 5 years. 4. reinstate accelerated depreciation on big ticket purchases like cas, equipment, planes for businesses.

Let the free market alone and let it do what it needs to do. Weed out the bad.

A two month “holiday” from Federal income taxes, for everyone who has taxes withheld.

This would provide the quickest “jolt” to the economy possible, and would make everyone aware of just how much money is being kept from them with every paycheck.

No capitol gains taxes.
All taxes paid to other government agencies tax deductible.
All consumer interest deductible.
No business taxes.
All medical deductible (none of this over 7% garbage).
No taxes on any income under 45K.
The elimination of nearly half of the federal government agencies.
Oh, alright, I am just getting silly here. I am just going to have another glass of fine port.

since this is merely a wish list with the Obama administration, I propose the following.

1. No more DOE. Let states employ the voucher method at a reduced amount of spending per person. Voucher would cover public school cost or be able to go toward private if so desired

2. End all funding for welfare programs. Let the churches/community service sectors do their jobs.

3. Privatize Social Security for people age 40 and under.

4. Tax credits for CC debt, autos, and incentives/tax credits for buying rehabbing forclosed homes

5. Eliminate IRS, fair tax implementation

6. End ALL states rights issues in the fed govt. Abortion, marriage, schools, gun laws etc. Let the states decide and implement these issues based on voters, not legislation from the benches.

7. Generous corporate tax breaks to create jobs

NO BAILOUTS- let the market decide who stays and who goes

Zero capital gains tax. Zero taxes on Social Security. I mean how stupid is to to tax something that is already taxed?

Allow deduction for personal dwelling repairs and capital improvements. Allow credits for green construction.

Putting cash into the pockets of construction workers is the best way to get things going.

A 25% across-the-board tax cut for individual AND businesses. 2% cuts annually after that, until a fair tax of 17% is reached. Reduce the 1040 form back to the single card form it USED to be.

(sound of repeated slapping) Sorry...Lost my head there for a minute...

Put nation back on classical gold standard. Disband the Fed. Have the Federal government hold a garage sale.
