If you haven’t done anything to get ready for this, after all these years of warnings, then four more months won’t matter. You are just too stupid and you deserve to lose your TV reception.

My grandmother, who is approaching 90, is about as non-tech as it gets, and even she managed to apply for a coupon and go down to the store to buy a converter.

Following the simple instructions in the constant ads about the DTV switch is just so difficult!

The FedGov has been out of converter coupons for quite some time, seems there was a run on them when they first started issuing them in Feb 2008. So no...people have not had "years" to prepare for this and some of us have not gotten our coupon yet, we are on a long waiting list, so I wish y'all would quit insulting us when it is clearly you that lack the correct information. Our particular coupon is taking even longer than usual because we do have another TV that is on satellite which puts us further down on the priority list. However, I would not stoop to the level of calling you stupid for lacking this information, only children resort to those types of attacks.

"...You are just too stupid and you deserve to lose your TV reception. "

The point, though, is that without stupid people the networks can not survive! These are the viewers whose unique intellects make TV programming what it is. Helping them would be helping all of us get the quality of network pogramming we have become accustomed to.
