I use a Panasonic FZ30 most of the time now, with an old Olympus C2100UZ for back up. The Panasonic is having some issues, lots of mileage on it, after I get the property taxes paid I may have to go shopping. I'd go for a DSLR, but the lenses I'd need would be very expensive, I shoot at 500mm equivalent a lot.
You don't seem to need them. I will stick with film as long as it lasts. Still a purist. I use a Nikon N80 and a Nikon N70. Black and white is my strongest suit. A dying art I'm sorry to say.
