Blaze orange is required in most states for hunting, particularly when other hunters are present; deer and some other mammals see the blaze orange as gray. The point of camo is simply to break up the outline of your image against the background. Most of my friends and I wear two or three different camo patterns when waterfowl or turkey hunting simply because we’re too cheap to buy complete sets of the latest rage in camouflage. But the different camo have similar coloration and patterns.
What’s most important in hunting is to remain relatively motionless and undetected by your prey. All the camo in the world is of no help if you prematurely mount your shotgun or rifle when the animal is looking in your direction.

“The point of camo is profit. The point of orange is so you dont get shot.”
That is true. It still doesn't stop some idiots from shooting at noise and movement in the brush. When elk season would open up back home you could sit in your back yard and listen to the gunfire. It sounded like Vietnam at times. The local papers would have all sorts of stories of hunters with various injuries inflicted by other hunters who had “Buck fever” and didn't identify their target. It really gets the adrenalin flowing to have a couple of rounds of 30-06 go in your direction and have some moron say “I'm sorry thought you were a elk/deer/whatever”

If a turkey used the sense of smell, you’d never kill one! I’ve never seen another animal catch even the smallest smidgeon of movement.

I have seen truck interiors in Holstein hide so it won’t be long before some cowboy extends that to the exterior on his F150 deer stand...

Saw a guy all camo’ed up out in our square today.
Have no idea what he thought he was hiding from.
