Perhaps someone can explain it to me and I admit not reading the entire bill, but this looks like a simple record keeping initiative. What is so different about it compared to, say, registering your car? I didn’t see anything about guns being taken away. The requirements listed at http://www.armedfemalesofamerica.com/protest_march.htm don’t seem any more intrusive than might be required to get a hunting or fishing license. Is this just a matter of “give them an inch and they’ll take a mile” fear?

And, I think calling a demonstration/protest “an armed show of force” is irresponsible at the very least.

Think about it. Without gun registration, how would they know where to go to confiscate them?
