Obama’s goal is to run out the clock until 2012 hoping that the economy will rebound (or close to it) while getting a voting base from the groups he’s “bought off”. IMO
Its not surprising The Messiah’s temples of worship - NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC don’t report the bad about The Messiah.
Bambi owns the media....Brent is being Captain Obvious.
What’s most amazing—and telling—about the stimulus package is that it is the ultimate document of this slacker president. If it is passed, he will pay off all of his political debt in one swoop—from ACORN to the healthcare controllers to the abortionists to the “regular folks”—and then can sit back and relax for the rest of his term.
Obama is exhausted, his staff is worn out, he is bored and wants to get out of the White House whenever he can. His wife is having fun being on Vogue and such, so all he wants to do from now on is what he did with the stimulus bill—hand it over to Pelosi, and then he will go to his little town hall meetings, be praised, read off a Teleprompter, and just hang out. He will call for “blue ribbon panels” and rant about evil Republicans.
And that’s all he wants to do. From now on when the economy comes up he will refer to one of the many elements of the stimulus that kick in later, like time-release medicine. When questioned he’ll call for more patience; when an issue pops up, he will blame Bush and the Republicans and wait until the 2012 election cycle begins, and by then his “The Republicans. Bush and wait, hope is on the way” lines will be even staler than they are now.
None of this is surprising. McCain fell into a trap with his “suspending his campaign” thing, because Obama LOOKED calm and in control, when in fact that just played into his natural state of boredom.
Whenever I see him I imagine him thinking “I thought it was gonna be more fun than this.”
